Well bottom line is ---this is all systematic.It's one method of control and keeping a certain
class of people in society down. First of all the "powers that be" want to take the city back.
At first "they" didn't want minorities in the suburbs, now that the city is the place to be
"they" dont want minorities in the city. This goes around and around. Gang bangers??
Puh-leasse-- stupid pawns----who plopped drugs in the communities in the beginning? Controlling
gang violence?--how many decades of not answering the community when they placed calls for help
to the police department has bred a lack of trust alack of respect for the police
department?-so now crime is rampant and community relations with the police has been of lately
at an all time low. Mayor Daley---Who tore down low income housing after low income housing and
project after project? Did they move into the mayor's or police superintendent's neighborhoods?
No! they moved into nice minority neighborhoods and neighborhoods that were already
struggling--and this is no offense to strugling people looking for adequate housing but along
with the demolition of these properties came the slow demise of many neighborhoods who are
already plaued with aftermath of the social effects of poverty. So who's responsible for the
gang wars? Deliberate--maybe not openly --but probably systematic over a period of time. Arne
Duncan---who can teach and who can learn with classrooms filled with 30 and 35 kids and you're
still closing schools and trying to get rid of the good ones left in minority neighborhoods?
When are any of you going to address the social issues behind all of this madness and come
clean about how all these problems have come about in the first place and why? Mr. Weiss--
answers?--a lot of a little--a little of a lot-- but a little too late. Bottom line--it's all
about economics,money, greed and politics. So now stupid gangbangers after falling into the
trap of the powers that be have helped to destroy their own communities and themselves in the
end and they now have given them a reason to shoot them down like dogs. So prepare for an all
out war. In the end--no one will win. Truly SAD--A country with all the riches and greatest
technology in the world and you expect us to believe you cant control gang warfare. You did it
when the mob was ruling the street in the same manner. So stop insulting our intelligence! As
citizens we deserve better! So --Stop the madness--Stop the Violence--Everyone!
I UNDERSTAND THESE ARE DRASTIC TIMES ...BUT YOU EXPECT YOUNG ADULTS TO END THE VIOLENCE! AND TO RALLY AGAINST GUN VIOLENCE!? WHAT EXAMPLE ARE WE SETTING AS ADULTS? COULD WE BE PART OF THE PROBLEM? ET TU?
